
Kobalt 24V and 48V Yard Power Tools
Greenworks is recalling 20+ models of Kobalt yard power tools due to a fire hazard when charging batteries via the USB-C port.
Immediately stop using the USB-C charging port on the affected batteries while they are inserted in the tools. Contact Greenworks Tools to receive a free replacement battery or a full refund for the battery, depending on the specific model.
Why it was recalled
Greenworks Tools is recalling 20+ models of Kobalt yard power tools, including trimmers, blowers, and mowers, that use 24V batteries with a USB-C charging port. Charging these batteries through the USB-C port while inserted in the tools can cause a short-circuit, posing a serious fire and injury hazard.
