Laser & LED Light Mini Laser Pointer Keychains

KC IMPORTS AND EXPORTS, Inc., of Vernon, California, is recalling Laser & LED Light Mini Laser Pointer Keychains with model number KKC-6071 because the button batteries can be accessed easily by children, posing an ingestion hazard. When swallowed, the batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns and death.

The recall, announced by the CPSC on August 6, 2026, affects 9,600 units sold nationwide at gas stations and discount stores and online at divaatheartsj.com from June 2025 through June 2026 for about 42 cents per unit. No incidents have been reported.

The keychains were sold individually and packaged in a case of 24, with lasers in colors including blue, white, red, black, green and purple. A silver sticker with black and silver lettering on the laser reads: "HJ, DANGER, LASER RADIATION, AVOID DIRECT EYE EXPOSURE, LASER DIODE, Wavelength: 630-650nm Max. Output: less than 5mW, class IIIa LASER PRODUCT."

The model number is printed on the product packaging. The product violates the mandatory safety standard for consumer products with button cell and coin batteries, and the packaging and product lack the warnings required under Reese’s Law.

Consumers should stop using the recalled laser keychains immediately and contact KC Import and Export for a refund. Button cell batteries are hazardous and should be disposed of or recycled by following local hazardous waste procedures.
