CPSC recall,

MiniWarGaming and Primal Horizon Disc Magnets

Disc magnets violate the mandatory safety standard, posing a deadly ingestion hazard to children.

Summary by Recall Canary from the CPSC notice

What happened

MiniWarGaming Inc., doing business as MiniWarGaming Forge, is recalling MiniWarGaming and Primal Horizon Disc Magnets because the high-powered magnets fit within CPSC's small parts cylinder and are stronger than permitted, violating the mandatory safety standard for magnets and posing a deadly ingestion hazard to children. The recall involves about 22,624 magnets, imported by Primal Horizon, of Ontario, Canada, and announced by CPSC on May 28, 2026. No incidents have been reported.

The disc magnets are silver and measure between 1/16" to ½" wide by 1/32" to 3/32" high. Primal Horizon disc magnets were sold in clamshells with size and quantity printed on the front and product code on the back. They were sold at independent hobby/game shops nationwide and online at Forge.miniwargaming.com and Amazon.com from October 2022 through January 2026 for about $15.

When high-powered magnets are swallowed, they can attract each other or other metal objects and become lodged in the digestive system, resulting in perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning, and death. Consumers should stop using the magnets immediately and contact MiniWarGaming for instructions on obtaining a prepaid shipping label to return the products for a full refund.
