OCUN NA LLC, of Park City, Utah, is recalling Ocun Condor HMS Triple Locking Carabiners because the carabiner's gate can malfunction where the gate does not close automatically and has to be closed manually by hand, posing a risk of serious injury or death due to falling. The recall, announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on April 2, 2026, involves about 295 units in the United States and about nine sold in Canada. No incidents have been reported.

The recalled carabiners were sold in dark gray and blue, with an independent internal wire gate for belaying and rappelling and a triple locking action gate. They were sold at First Ascent Climbing, Fitness Arlington and Vertical eXcape Climbing Center, and online at Hownot2.com, backcountry.com, outdoorprolink.com and verticallstore.com from February 2025 through February 2026 for between $23 and $60. The carabiners were made in Taiwan.

Consumers should stop using the recalled carabiner immediately and contact OCUN NA for a free replacement.

The affected carabiners have the following batch numbers 24003xx, 24004xx, 24010xx, 24023xx, 24024xx, 24025xx, 25005xx, 25006xx. The batch number is found on the spine of the carabiner.
