CPSC recall,

Papablic Bedside Sleepers and Play Yards

The bedside sleepers can displace the mattress, entrapping a baby and posing a deadly suffocation hazard.

What happened

Papablic, Inc., doing business as Papablic, of Chicago, Illinois, recalled its Papablic Bedside Sleepers with Play Yard Extensions because the bedside sleepers with play yard extensions violate the mandatory safety standard for play yards. The mattress can become displaced, causing a baby to become entrapped between the sleeping pad and bottom, posing a deadly suffocation hazard.

In addition, the latching and locking mechanism can fail, causing the product to collapse, posing a risk of serious injury or deadly entrapment and fall hazards. About 248 units are affected. No incidents were reported.

The recalled products, model PAPA03001AI, are convertible sleepers that function as both a bassinet and a play yard. They have a gray exterior with an interior printed in a stars-and-moon pattern, and “Papablic” is stitched in white on the front gray fabric panel. The model is printed on a label sewn to the interior fabric of the bassinet underneath the mattress pad.

The products were sold online at Amazon.com and papablic.com from April 2025 through July 2026 for about $190. They were made in China.

Consumers should stop using the convertible bedside sleeper immediately and contact Papablic for a refund. Upon receipt of proof of destruction, Papablic will issue a full refund, and consumers should dispose of the product.
