Why it was recalled

The pedal axle on these aluminum alloy mountain bike pedals can crack, which may cause the pedal to detach from the crank and pose a fall hazard to the rider. The affected product is the Loam Pedal Gen 2, which features a "Tectonic" logo laser-etched onto the pedal body near the threaded axle and was sold in black, silver, green, orange, and purple.
