Qumeney Bicycle Light Sets (models BL-01, BL-02) recalled for easily accessible button cell batteries posing child ingestion hazard.

What to do

Stop using the bicycle lights immediately. Keep them away from children. Contact Smfanlus through Amazon for a refund or replacement, or dispose of the product safely by removing and securing the batteries before discarding.

Why it was recalled

The recalled bicycle lights violate the mandatory standard for consumer products with button cell and coin batteries because they contain button cell batteries that can be accessed easily by children, posing an ingestion hazard. Additionally, the bicycle lights do not have the warnings required under Reese's Law. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and death.

Online at Amazon.com from March 2024 through February 2026 for between $7 and $10 (6-pack) and between $15 and $18 (24-pack).
