CPSC recall,

Vanderhall Brawley GTS Electric ROVs

The Brawley GTS Electric ROVs have seat belts that can permanently retract, posing injury and crash hazards.

What happened

Vanderhall North America LLC is recalling Model Year 2024-2026 Brawley GTS Electric Recreational Off-road Vehicles (ROVs) because the seat belts can permanently lockup in the fully retracted position. If this occurs, consumers would be unable to reset the seat belt and put it on when the vehicle is operating, posing injury and crash hazards. Vanderhall has received 11 reports of the seat belt locking up, with no injuries reported. The recall involves about 190 vehicles made in the United States.

The recalled vehicles were sold at Vanderhall dealers in Utah, Ohio, Michigan, Texas, Montana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Arizona from April 2024 through June 2026 for about $50,000. Each vehicle has a unique VIN number located under the dashboard on the driver's side, and the Vanderhall logo is on the bottom of the door on each side.

Consumers should stop using the recalled vehicles immediately and contact an authorized Vanderhall dealer to schedule a free repair. A technician will install an insert into the seat belt guide slot on each seat that will reduce the speed the seat belt retracts, preventing the lockup from occurring.
