Vitaquest International Iron Supplement Bottles and Packets

Vitaquest is recalling 11 brands of iron supplements (Arey, Bari Life, Bird&Be, Biote, Dr. Fuhrman, NuLife, HMR, Bariatric Pal, Noevir, Zenbean, Sakara) with non-child-resistant packaging.

What to do

Stop giving these iron supplements to children immediately. Check your home for any of the recalled products using the lot codes and UPCs in the full recall notice. Contact the brand or retailer for a refund or replacement with child-resistant packaging. If a child has swallowed any of these supplements, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 or seek emergency medical attention.

Why it was recalled

The dietary supplements contain iron, which must be in child-resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The packaging of the supplements is not child-resistant, posing a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.
