
Vive Health Adult Portable Bed Rails
Vive Health is recalling adult portable bed rails due to entrapment and asphyxiation hazards that have resulted in two deaths.
Immediately stop using the recalled bed rails. Contact Vive Health to receive a full refund by cutting the bed rail in half and emailing a photo of the destroyed product to the company.

- Vive Health has received two reports of entrapment deaths associated with one model of the recalled bed rails. The deaths occurred in September 2024 and involved a 97-year-old man at an assisted living facility in Texas and a 93-year-old man at his home in Florida.

Why it was recalled
These bed rails pose a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation if users become trapped within the rail or between the rail and the mattress. The recall includes the Compact Bed Rail (model LVA2009SLV), Bed Rail Collection V (model LVA2097SLV), and Bed Rail model LVA1024 purchased on or before August 21, 2023. The products were distributed nationwide.

Vive Health sold about 122,000 units of the recalled bed rails at medical supply stores nationwide and online at www.vivehealth.com, Amazon and online medical supply stores. The bed rails were sold from September 2019 through December 2025 for between $45 and $90.
