What happened
Eden Brothers LLC is recalling Calabrese Broccoli Seeds in Packet, 1 Ounce and 1 Pound sizes because the supplier informed the company that the seeds may be contaminated with Salmonella. Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
Healthy individuals may suffer short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. No illnesses have been reported to date.
The affected seeds were sold through Eden Brothers online sales at EdenBrothers.com and Amazon.com from July 8 through September 28, 2026, depending on product size, and were shipped to customers nationwide. Eden Brothers stopped sales of the affected lots and is notifying customers directly.
Consumers who have the recalled seeds should stop using them, seal them in a bag and throw them away in household trash, and wash hands and any surfaces that touched the seeds. Eden Brothers is offering a full refund for the recalled seeds.
