Why it was recalled

Evergreen Fresh Sprouts LLC is recalling its Broccoli Sprouts because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. The affected sprouts were packaged in clear plastic 4 oz. zip lock bags. The recall was initiated after a third-party lab tested positive for Salmonella.
