What happened
Lidl US TRADING, of Arlington, Virginia, recalled Eridanous Greek Style Shortbread Cookies after the firm discovered that certain units shipped to the U.S. retail stores only has "foreign languages" on the label. The product has undeclared wheat, soy, milk, eggs and tree nut (coconut). The recall began on July 22, 2026, and was announced on July 24, 2026.
The affected products are Eridanous Greek Style Shortbread Cookies with Chocolate Truffle Coating & Apricot Filling, 330 g, and Eridanous Greek Style Shortbread Cookies with apricot filling and cocoa topping with coconut sprinkles, 330 g. They were distributed to Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
