Whole Foods Market, based in Austin, Texas, recalled select salsa and guacamole products from its Produce and Prepared Foods departments because jalapenos sourced from Coast Citrus Distributors may be contaminated with Salmonella.

The products include Whole Foods Salsa, Mild Guacamole Dip, Spicy Guacamole Dip No Tomatoes, Pomegranate Guacamole Dip, Mild Guacamole Dip No Tomatoes, Trio Dip, Roasted Corn Guacamole Dip, Mango Pineapple Salsa, Medium Pico de Gallo Guacamole Dip, and Spicy Guacamole Dip. The recall was announced by the company on August 12, 2026, and added to the FDA's Enforcement Report on August 20, 2026.

Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections.
