What happened
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a public health alert for various raw beef and pork products produced without the benefit of federal inspection. The products may bear a false mark of inspection and may contain undeclared allergens, harmful bacteria, or other contaminants that put consumer health and safety at risk.
The alert covers items such as Blackwing Organic Meats Organic Beef New York Strip Steak, Organic Ground Beef, Grass Fed Organic Beef Stew Meat, Organic Beef Steak Strips, and Blackwing Meats Blackwing Beef Ground From Organic Beef, Pork Ground Made From Organic Pork, and Boneless Center Cut Pork Chops.
The beef and pork items were produced from April 2024 through March 2026 and distributed nationwide. FSIS is continuing to investigate and may add additional products to this alert as more information is obtained.
