BMW of North America, LLC is recalling certain 2024-2026 BMW X3 sDrive30i, X3 30 xDrive, and X3 M50 xDrive vehicles. The steering spindle may have been incorrectly attached to the steering column, which can lead to a loss of steering control and increase the risk of a crash. The recall affects 13 vehicles nationwide.

The issue was reported to NHTSA on August 12, 2026. Dealers will inspect the steering connection and replace hardware or replace the spindle and column as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on October 8, 2026.
