NHTSA recall,

Chrysler Dodge Durango

The Dodge Durango has tail light wiring that may fail, reducing visibility and increasing crash risk.

What happened

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2026 Dodge Durango vehicles because the terminals in the tail light wiring harness may be damaged and cause the tail lights to fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, 'Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.' Tail lights that fail to illuminate properly reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

The recall was reported to NHTSA on October 22, 2026, and affects 13,330 vehicles nationwide. Dealers will inspect and replace the tail light assemblies, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 3, 2026.
