Chrysler Mopar Side Curtain Air Bags

Mopar side curtain air bags may have insufficient pressure retention from improperly sealed seams, increasing ejection and injury risk.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain Mopar side curtain air bags. The air bags may have insufficient pressure retention from improperly sealed seams, failing to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 226, "Ejection Mitigation," and increasing the risk of ejection and injury during a crash. The recall was reported to NHTSA on March 26, 2026.

The air bags were distributed nationwide. Owner notification letters were mailed May 14, 2026. Dealers will replace the side curtain air bags, free of charge. If an air bag is not installed in a vehicle, it will be repurchased.
