Dorman Transmission Gearshift Cable
Dorman is recalling Transmission Gearshift Cables (part numbers 905-146, 905-644, 905-142, BK905-1146-1, BK905-1142-1) due to detachable bushing risking vehicle rollaway.
Stop using the affected gearshift cable immediately. Contact Dorman Products, Inc. for a replacement cable. Do not operate the vehicle if the gearshift cable bushing is detached or loose.
Why it was recalled
Dorman Products is recalling Transmission Gearshift Cables with part numbers 905-146, 905-644, 905-142, and Solutions Transmission Gearshift Cables with part numbers BK905-1146-1 and BK905-1142-1. The gearshift cable bushing may detach from the linkage, preventing the vehicle from shifting into Park position, which can result in vehicle rollaway and crash.
