Why it was recalled
Nissan is recalling certain JATCO transaxle assembly automatic transmission control valve assemblies. An internal hardware failure in the inhibitor switch may cause the instrument panel to incorrectly display the selected gear, failing to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 102. This failure to display critical gear information increases the risk of a crash. The recall is distributed nationwide.
