What happened
Ducati North America is recalling certain 2025-2026 Streetfighter V4, Streetfighter V4 S, Panigale V4, and Panigale V4 S motorcycles. The recall covers 1,440 vehicles nationwide. Excessive heat may damage the rear brake hose between the ABS control unit and brake caliper, resulting in a sudden loss of the rear brakes, which increases the risk of a crash or injury.
Reported to NHTSA on January 28, 2026. This recall expands and replaces previous NHTSA recall number 25V013. Vehicles repaired under the previous recall will need to have the new remedy completed.
Dealers will replace the thermal shield, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 9, 2026.
