Damaged front brake hoses on certain Zero motorcycles can leak brake fluid and reduce braking ability.

What happened
Zero Motorcycles Inc. is recalling certain 2024-2025 DSR/X, DS, DSR, and DSRP motorcycles. The front brake hose may be twisted and become damaged, which can cause a brake fluid leak and a loss of brake pressure. A loss of brake pressure can reduce braking ability and cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The recall affects 118 vehicles nationwide. The problem was reported to NHTSA on January 28, 2026. Dealers will inspect and replace the hose as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 23, 2026.
