Ford 2026 E-Transit Vehicles

The 2026 E-Transit has bolts missing washers in its high-voltage battery, which can cause arcing and fire.

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2026 E-Transit vehicles because bolts inside the high-voltage battery pack may be missing washers, which can cause high electrical resistance or electrical arcing. Electrical arcing increases the risk of a fire, and a loss of drive power may occur, increasing the risk of a crash. The recall affects 98 vehicles nationwide.

The issue was reported to NHTSA on February 3, 2026. Dealers will inspect and repair the busbar fasteners and replace the busbar if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on February 13, 2026.
