Ford Engine Block Heater
Ford is recalling engine block heaters (CV6Z-6A051-CA, CV6Z-6A051-AA) for 2013–2019 Ford/Lincoln 2.0L vehicles due to short-circuit fire risk.
Stop using the engine block heater immediately. Contact Ford to arrange a replacement or refund. Do not plug in the heater if you own an affected unit.
Why it was recalled
Ford is recalling certain engine block heaters (part numbers CV6Z-6A051-CA and CV6Z-6A051-AA) sold as accessories for 2013–2019 Ford and Lincoln vehicles with 2.0L engines. The heater may crack and develop a coolant leak, causing an electrical short circuit when plugged in that increases fire risk.
