Ford F-59 and F-53 Brake Lights
Ford is recalling 2025 F-59 and F-53 vehicles; brake lights may fail to illuminate due to an incorrectly installed switch.
What to do
Stop driving the vehicle and contact Ford immediately to schedule service for inspection and replacement of the brake light switch. Do not operate the vehicle until the switch has been corrected.
Why it was recalled
Brake lights that do not illuminate properly while driving increase the risk of a crash. In addition, the vehicle may be shifted out of park without the brake pedal applied, increasing the risk of a rollaway and crash.
