Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair High Voltage Battery
Ford is recalling 2022–2026 Escape and 2023–2026 Corsair plug-in hybrids over high voltage battery defect risking power loss and fire.
What to do
Stop driving the vehicle and contact Ford immediately to schedule a service appointment. Do not attempt to charge or operate the vehicle until the battery has been inspected and replaced if necessary.
Why it was recalled
Battery failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. Battery failure can also increase the risk of a fire.
