What happened

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2024-2026 Mustang and 2025-2026 Mustang GTD vehicles. During certain cold temperature conditions, the windshield wipers may function only at their high-speed setting and the washing system may fail to function properly. This can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. The recall affects 67,994 vehicles nationwide and was reported to NHTSA on June 30, 2026.

Dealers will replace the wiper motor as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 11, 2026.
