Ford Mustang and Mustang GTD Windshield Wipers
Ford is recalling 2024–2026 Mustang and 2025–2026 Mustang GTD vehicles because cold weather can cause windshield wiper and washer malfunctions.
Owners should contact a Ford or Lincoln dealer to have the windshield wiper motor software updated free of charge. For more information, contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332.
Why it was recalled
Ford is recalling certain 2024–2026 Mustang and 2025–2026 Mustang GTD vehicles because the windshield wipers may only operate at high speed and the washing system may fail during cold weather. This malfunction can reduce driver visibility and increase the risk of a crash. The recall was distributed nationwide.
