What happened

Forest River Bus, LLC (Forest River) is recalling certain 2019-2022 Lone Star Vans built on Ram ProMaster chassis. The rearview camera image may not display properly because cracks in the microprocessor can occur. A rearview image that does not display properly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. The recall affects 195 vehicles nationwide.

The problem was reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on September 10, 2026. Owner notification letters were mailed on October 9, 2026. Dealers will inspect the rearview camera. Forest River will work with Ram to replace a damaged rearview camera, free of charge.
