What happened

Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2027 Unmapped, Sabre, No Boundaries, Ibex, Surveyor, Sierra, and Sandpiper travel trailers. The Federal Placard may state an incorrect fresh water tank capacity, which fails to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, 'Tire Selection and Rims.'

Incorrect water tank capacity information can allow the vehicle to be overloaded and increase the risk of a crash. The recall affects 804 vehicles nationwide, reported to NHTSA on July 23, 2026.

The issue involves the label on the vehicles. Dealers will replace the incorrect label, free of charge. Additionally, Forest River will mail corrected labels to owners. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 18, 2026.
