What happened
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X Coupe, Corvette ZR1X Convertible, Corvette Coupe E-Ray, Corvette Convertible E-Ray, Corvette Convertible, Corvette Coupe, 2025 Corvette E-Ray Coupe, Corvette E-Ray Convertible, Corvette Convertible, and Corvette Coupe vehicles.
A software error may prevent detection of a rear turn signal light failure, so these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." The driver may be unaware that the turn signal is not working, increasing the risk of a crash.
The recall was reported to NHTSA on April 2, 2026, and covers 32,988 vehicles distributed nationwide. The remedy is a free update of the lighting control module software, by a dealer or through an over-the-air (OTA) update. Owner notification letters are scheduled to be mailed May 18, 2026.
