What happened

Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Lineage recreational vehicles equipped with the optional Lineage 43 tire package. The vehicle's top speed may exceed the tire's speed rating. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other than Passenger Cars."

A tire may fail while traveling at higher speeds, increasing the risk of a crash. The recall was reported to NHTSA on September 14, 2026, and affects 42 vehicles nationwide.

The remedy offered by the agency is that dealers will install new corrected labels, and Grand Design will mail owners new corrected labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 2, 2026.
