Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2025 CMX300, CMX500, and CL500 motorcycles. The handlebar lock screw may loosen and detach. A detached screw may lodge between the frame and stem, interfering with steering and increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

The recall affects 19,406 vehicles nationwide. The reason was reported to NHTSA on March 12, 2026. Dealers will replace the lock screw and apply thread lock, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 15, 2026.
