What happened
Shyft Group (Shyft) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Blue Arc BA4L-800 vehicles. The mounting fasteners may loosen or detach, causing the steering gearbox to bind. Binding in the gearbox can cause a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash. The recall affects 149 vehicles nationwide.
Shyft will replace the steering gearbox mounting bolts and washers, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 23, 2026.
