Isuzu NRR, NPR and Chevrolet Low Cab Forward Trucks
The vehicles have wire harnesses that may chafe, causing harness failure, which can lead to engine stall, brake light or parking brake failure, or fire.

What happened
Isuzu Motors Limited is recalling certain 2025-2027 Chevrolet Low Cab Forward 5500XD, 4500XD, Isuzu NRR, NPR HD, NPR XD, 2025-2027 Chevrolet Low Cab Forward 4500HD, and Isuzu NRR EV vehicles. The chassis and/or cab wire harnesses may chafe against metal components, leading to harness failure. Harness failure may cause an engine stall or the brake lights and parking brake to fail, increasing the risk of a crash. Damaged wires may also melt, increasing the risk of a fire.
The recall was reported to NHTSA on April 1, 2026, and affects 16,759 vehicles nationwide. This is a phased campaign. Phase 1 includes NRR EV vehicles, with owner notification letters mailed April 24, 2026. Phase 2 includes Isuzu N-Series and Chevrolet LCF Series vehicles, with letters mailed May 22, 2026 to Isuzu N-Series owners. Phase 3 includes Chevrolet LCF Series owners, with letters mailed July 10, 2026.
Dealers will add additional fasteners, inspect and replace the harnesses as necessary, free of charge. Owners will receive another notice once the remedy becomes available.
