Nissan Altima (2025) — Air Bags

Nissan Altima vehicles have front air bags that may not deploy properly due to incorrect mounting fasteners, increasing crash injury risk.

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2025 Altima vehicles because the front passenger air bag and front passenger knee air bag may have been installed with incorrect mounting fasteners, which can cause the air bags not to deploy as intended. Air bags that do not deploy as intended increase the risk of injury in a crash. The recall affects 149 vehicles nationwide.

The vehicles were reported to NHTSA on August 13, 2026. Dealers will replace the air bag mounting fasteners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 30, 2026.
