Why it was recalled

Nissan is recalling certain 2023–2025 Rogue vehicles equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5L variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engines due to engine oil breakdown at elevated temperatures, which may cause engine bearings to seize and fail. Engine failure can result in loss of drive power and increased crash risk; a bearing breach may discharge hot oil, creating a fire hazard.
