Nova Bus LFS (2022-2025)

An overloaded control unit may shutdown, causing a loss of drive power and increasing the risk of a crash.

Nova Bus (US) Inc. is recalling certain 2022-2025 LFS transit buses because the telemetry control unit installed in parallel with the vehicle monitoring system may cause a data overload. An overloaded control unit may shutdown, causing a loss of drive power and increasing the risk of a crash. The recall affects 50 vehicles nationwide.

The problem was reported to NHTSA on April 30, 2026. Nova Bus will modify the connection configuration and update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 2, 2026.
