Why it was recalled

Subaru is recalling certain 2026 Crosstrek Hybrid, 2025-2026 Forester Hybrid, 2025-2026 Forester, and 2019-2026 Ascent vehicles because the certification label displays an incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). This error causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110, and an incorrect rating may lead to vehicle overloading and an increased risk of a crash. The recall is distributed nationwide.
