What happened

Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. is recalling certain 2026-2027 Open Trail, Wayfarer, and 2026 Midas recreational vehicles because the Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) label may have been incorrectly printed on a white label. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, "Wheels and Rims-Other Than Passenger Cars."

The incorrect label color may make it difficult for the operator to locate the loading or tire pressure information, increasing the risk of a crash.

The recall affects 160 vehicles nationwide. The issue was reported to NHTSA on May 27, 2026. Dealers will replace the label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 2, 2026.
