What happened
Shaoshan Leiluo Trading Co., Ltd. is recalling Iristar Minoxidil Spray Bottles for hair and beard growth because the packaging is not child-resistant, violating the Poison Prevention Packaging Act and posing a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children. The recall was announced by the CPSC on January 22, 2026, and involves about 29,000 units. No incidents have been reported.
The recalled sprays contain 5% minoxidil with biotin and come in black plastic bottles with navy blue labels and white highlights, with a spray cap. The bottles and outer packaging are labeled 'Iristar' and 'Minoxidil Spray' on the front, with ingredients and directions on the back. They were sold on Amazon.com by Moralowen, of South Korea, from December 2024 through September 2025 for about $18. The product was made in China.
Consumers should immediately secure the recalled spray bottles out of sight and reach of children and contact Moralowen for a free replacement bottle with a child-resistant closure. Once the contents are transferred to the new bottle, consumers can continue to use the product as directed.
