Ford F-150 (2017)

The 2017 Ford F-150 has an instrument cluster that may lose power, increasing crash risk.

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2017 F-150 vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 17V053. The instrument cluster may lose power after initial vehicle start-up in cold ambient temperatures, and several gauges, including the transmission gear position indicator, may not illuminate. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 102, "Transmission Shift Lever Sequence, Starter Interlock, and Transmission Braking Effect."

The recall affects 4,445 vehicles nationwide. The issue was reported to NHTSA on June 9, 2026. Dealers will update the Instrument Panel Cluster Assembly (IPC) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 17, 2026.
