What happened

Graco Children's Products, Inc. is recalling certain SnugRide Turn & Slide and Modes Nest Travel Systems with Snugride Turn & Slide infant child seats. The infant seat carrier may detach from the base in a crash, which increases the risk of injury.

As a result, these child seats and travel systems fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 213, "Child Restraint Systems." The recall was reported to NHTSA on April 3, 2026, and affects 5,126 units distributed nationwide.

Owners are advised to follow the instructions for installing the child seat with the vehicle seat belt (without the base) until the replacement seat arrives. Graco will replace the child seat, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 22, 2026.
