What happened

Jayco, Inc. is recalling certain 2027 Entegra Qwest and Jayco Melbourne Prestige recreational vehicles because the taillight harness may have been manufactured with an incorrect resistor. The defective harness may cause the warning light to illuminate on the instrument panel display when the taillights are functioning correctly. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Control and Displays."

The recall was reported to NHTSA on August 31, 2026, and affects 11 vehicles nationwide.

Dealers will replace the taillight harness, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 30, 2026.
