What happened

Lucid USA, Inc. is recalling certain 2025-2026 Gravity vehicles because the lap belt anchor brackets on the second row seats may have insufficient welds, which can cause bracket failure. This fails to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 207, "Seating Systems" and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages." Seat bracket failure can increase the risk of injury during a crash. The recall was reported to NHTSA on March 26, 2026, and affects 4,476 vehicles nationwide.

Lucid will inspect and repair the seats or replace the seats as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 18, 2026.
