What happened
Volvo Car USA, LLC is recalling certain 2025 EX30 vehicles because the high-voltage battery may experience a short circuit and overheat, increasing the risk of a fire. The recall affects 40 vehicles nationwide.
The issue was reported to NHTSA on January 2, 2026. Owners are advised to limit their charge to a maximum of 70% until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will inspect and replace the battery modules as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed February 23, 2026.
