What happened

Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling certain 2014-2026 AT Series Aerial Device vehicles because the transmission park interlock may be missing, allowing the aerial device to operate while the chassis is not in park. An aerial device that operates while the vehicle is in gear or neutral can cause unexpected vehicle movement and increase the risk of injury.

The recall affects 4,923 vehicles nationwide and was reported to NHTSA on June 12, 2026. Altec will update the electrical harness and control modules, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 7, 2026.
