Why it was recalled
Ford is recalling certain 2015-2018 Focus and 2013-2016 Fusion vehicles that were previously repaired incorrectly under recall numbers 18V169 and 18V845. The transmission clutch may fracture, which can damage the transmission assembly and cause a fluid leak. This leak poses a fire risk if it contacts hot engine or exhaust components. This recall is distributed nationwide.
