What happened

Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling certain 2022-2026 Service Body vehicles. The inverter output AC wiring may be routed too tightly in the electrical receptacle enclosure and become damaged, possibly resulting in a short circuit. A short may cause the inverter AC wiring to overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

The recall affects 277 vehicles nationwide. The issue was reported to NHTSA on July 2, 2026. Altec will install an electrical receptacle enclosure extension, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 28, 2026.
