Week of September 14–20, 2026
The week in recalls
A heavy stretch for medical devices, with infusion pumps and infant breathing support among the products worth a closer look. Food and drug recalls also asked for attention.
Recall CanaryUpdated
Another week of recalls to go through. There were 91 recalls in all, and many of them involved medical devices. The ones that matter most are a set of infusion pumps and controllers used in hospitals, plus a supplement sold as a natural enhancement product, so let's start there.
Hospitals and clinics should check their BD Alaris Pump Infusion Sets and their Abiomed Impella Controllers. The infusion sets were recalled because the performance data for some attributes did not match what the pumps expect, which can lead to the pump delivering fluid in a way it should not. The controllers have a small part in the pressure sensor that can fail, which may stop the controller from recognising the purge cassette. Both are high risk. If your facility uses either, follow the instructions the company sent and check which lots you have.
Two other recalls are worth a minute. CooperSurgical INCA Infant Nasal CPAP Sets can develop a loose connection between the tubing and the nasal cannula, which may drop the pressure a baby needs. And Bettergoods Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine may be contaminated with Listeria, so check your fridge and do not eat it.
The full list below has every recall from the week, with the details you need to check your own supplies and shelves. Take a few minutes with it, and pass along anything that affects someone you know.
