Week of April 20–26, 2026
The week in recalls
A pacemaker software fix and motorhomes that can start their own generators lead the week's recalls. Also: brake fluid with sediment, a mislabeled bonbon, and a wheelchair cyber flaw.
Recall CanaryUpdated
Here's your weekly look at what got recalled. There were 66 recalls this week, and they were mostly medical devices and vehicles. The ones that matter most are a pacemaker software update, two motorhomes with generators that can turn on by themselves, and a wheelchair with a cyber vulnerability. So let's start there.
The one to know about is the Boston Scientific pacemakers, a high-risk recall of Essentio, Proponent, Valitude and Visionist pacemakers and CRT-Ps. Updated software is available, and the advisory now covers all CRT-P and DR-EL devices. If you have one of these, talk to your doctor about getting the software update.
Two motorhomes also need attention. The REV Holiday Rambler Vacationer, Admiral, Fleetwood Flair, Fortis, and Bounder motorhomes and the Winnebago Ekko both have a problem where the furnace or touchscreen can turn on the generator without the operator knowing, which poses a carbon monoxide risk. Both carry a park outside warning. If you have one, park it outside until it's fixed.
A couple of other recalls are worth a minute. The ACDelco GMW DOT 3 brake and clutch fluid may contain sediment that can reduce brake performance and increase crash risk. And the WHILL Model C2 and Model F powered wheelchairs have a Bluetooth cyber vulnerability that could let someone else control the chair. Check the full list below for details on these and the rest of the week's recalls.
